I was originally going to use the electronic random selector on the Internet to choose the winner for the A2K 555th blog post giveaway, but my husband came up with a rather innovative idea, and I thought why not, its different, quite interactive and humorous too.
D grew up in a family that played games such as cribbage, Othello, Monopoly, Risk, scrabble and cards. Well he still plays cards, but not necessarily with me. The Internet is a wonderful thing and you can find opponents on the other side of the world. He collects old card games and has built up quite a collection. This one below is called Happy Families from the 1930-40s (we think). It has different families representing different trades such as Baking, Teaching, Gardening and so on.
Below each character you will find the names of those (of you) who have already signed up to possibly win the A2K box. The visual representations are quite comical, don't you think? Some of these cartoons are rather complimentary, others not so much. Each person has been allocated a card, please do take this with some humour. This was done randomly by my husband without my influence whatsoever. He is really straight as a lace when it comes to honesty. If you you want to see which card belongs to whom, please click on the images below to see this.
There is only 1 card left in the pack, so if you are interested, please go and sign up now. Any entries after the 52nd comment will not be entered into the giveaway. Please come back tomorrow when the winner will be picked randomly from a shuffled pack of cards and announced tomorrow. So please come back and see if its your character from the Happy Family is the winner. Good luck.
