Close up of the chives growing in the garden. I have not used photoshop on the photograph. This is what the chives look like, close up. Last year, I was fortunate to capture some bees, this year I haven't seen so many.
Purple happens to be one of my top 5 selective color choices. Your chive flowers are delicate and yet show a lot of strength. Your garden seems to be coming along really well. I'm enjoying all your progress ;o) Have a nice day. Flavourful wishes, Claudia
Thanks Sooz. I'm planning on eating some and have done so already, very oniony. The others are there really for the bees, but I will cut some of the chive stems as and when i need them for eating.
Claudia. I'd happily wear purple every day now. I''m hapoing to get some more gardening done today. For a start I have a bean frame to build. Have wonderful weekend.
Wow! What a lovely photo of the chives! Do you use your chive flowers in your salads? I do. It gives the salad a nice touch of color and a slight onion flavor too.
wow, thats a great photo! Are you planning on eating the flowers or leaving them to look pretty?
