Like many I am looking forward to the festive break. We are travelling tomorrow, to spend Christmas with my mother in law. I am looking forward to seeing her, but no so much the travelling there, but it must be done.
I cannot remember the last time I made or had mushroom pate, so with Christmas beckoning, I thought I would make some enhanced further with some Black Truffle oil - its Christmas after all.
Perfect for crusty bread or on crackers.

I love how you present your food - this looks so festive. I have a bottle of truffle oil that has got a bit lost that I need to use up - the idea of it in a pate is great! Are you taking the Pate for Christmas or was it had at home? Hope you have a great christmas and that the festivities loom large and the travelling is quick!
ReplyDeleteThank you Johanna. I have had those little pate pots forever, they have featured on my blog in the past. It was had at home. Fortunately the travelling went really well, we left my MIL at 5.30am Boxing Day to get back to Wales and were back by 8am without any problems, so glad missed the traffic and the icy weather. I have a couple of days off work, but D had to go back yesterday. I felt for him, he needs a proper holiday.
DeleteHappy Christmas, I hope it's a good break, travel aside. I like the pate comes in its own little pot, and it sounds thoroughly luxurious.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Joey. It was nice to see D's mother and his sister. Yes, Its been a while since I used that pot - 2011 see here http://allotment2kitchen.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/seitan-chorizo-chowder.html
