A very short blog post tonight. I have added a page called 'Sowing the Seeds'. This page will be a on-going record of what I am sowing, what has germinated and what actually grows.

I will up-date this page probably every fortnight as seeds germinate, or fail to germinate as the case may be.
Let the sowing and growing begin.

What a good idea! I was thinking I need a way to keep track of my efforts this year. Great plan, and good luck with the germination!
ReplyDeleteI usually keep a diary, but decided to just do it on-line instead.
DeleteMy chives come up very year! they make what I cook look so pretty too!
ReplyDeletehappy planting!
I love growing chives at home, esp. when they flower they attract the bees.
DeleteI'm sure many of us look forward to the reports.
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephen.
DeleteYey! Happy growing!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck and here's to a good harvest! Suzy x
ReplyDeleteI have ordered a rhubarb crown. Are you proud?
ReplyDeleteOh yes I am. Guess what I've just been given some by my Dad from his newly acquired allotment. It was getting trodden on, so I took it.
DeleteI'll look forward to following your new page - and that flower is beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kari.
DeleteI love growing chive flowers, esp. for the bumble bees.
What a good idea.I think I'll add an similar page to my Emerging From the Undergrowth blog http://okallotments.blogspot.co.uk/as a record.
ReplyDeleteMy buying of lots more seeds this year ready for my new allotment as well as for my raised beds at home (turning some into potagers)has been a bit random.Includes fresh supplies of lettuce and trombone courgette seeds from Madeira which seem to have grown well in my north of England garden before.
Love your recipes.Have been perfecting the cabbage and lentils.I'll need 100 different ways to cook swiss chard soon.
By the way which fonts do you use on your blog?
Hello Shinny,
DeleteNice to make your acquaintance.
I have a number of chard recipes on my blog already, but there will be many more in the future.
I use papyrus font on my blog. Its not a blogger option, I just cut and paste, a little more time consuming, but worth it I think as it matches my blog header font.
That's a great idea. I have sown some jalapeño chilli seeds and so far 3 have germinated.
ReplyDeleteThree jalapeno seed - whopee, more than I have so far.
DeleteGreat idea! I want to sow tomatoes in my balcony, i wish I could.
ReplyDeleteWhat is stopping you from growing tomatoes in your balcony? You should if you can :)
DeleteWhat a wonderful ice cream idea! I love the sound of it, and it's so pretty too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the seeds this season!
Whoops, sorry, I clicked on the wrong comments link by mistake, I meant to leave that comment on the carrot ice cream page. :P
