More photographs from our holiday in Dungeness in the Borough of Lydd
We saw the famous British Queer Pagan Radical Punk Director and Cinematographer Derek Jaman's (1942-1994) Garden, though I think it is now owned by a energy company like most of the shingle shore headland or 'desert' as it often described.
Derek Jaman's Garden is described as a garden that sits on the edge of the world.

Borough of Lydd Dungerness, Romney Marsh Kent
The next place we visited and stayed overnight at was Dungeness in the Borough of Lydd.
The Royal 'We' both liked Dungerness and cannot wait to return, maybe even next year. We found Dungerness quite remarkable and unlike anything else we have ever seen. It was so unreal that I would describe it as a set of a post apocalyptic movie. Here are some photographs from our September holiday against the magnificent backdrop of huge skies.
Dungeness is on the south coast of Kent, England. It is well known for have a large shingle beach and is reputed to be 'Britain's only desert'. Please don't ask what made us go to Dungeness, perhaps its the otherworldly nature of the place, the haunting atmosphere that surrounds the wind battered wooden dwellings and abandoned fishing boats; or simply it was just somewhere different for us both as neither of us are sun bathers.
Some people would describe Dungerness grey, bleak and perhaps even depressing, maybe because of the 1950s nuclear station, but you have to turn your back on that and admire the place for what it is. Its a place for bird watchers or twitchers as they are known, as Dungerness has the oldest RSPB nature reserve . The Royal 'We' both liked Dungerness and cannot wait to return, maybe even next year. Mostly Plum Harvest Monday
A bit like the last time I participated in Harvest Monday I don't have much to share in the way of fresh produce, but what I have harvested I have either eaten or preserved for the months to come.
I have picked more than this one yellow cherry tomato, a good bowl full in fact (sadly not pictured) - but I like this picture that I just had to share it.
Still picking some salad greens from the greenhouse and edible flowers from the garden plot.
The courgettes are beginning to dwindle now. I made this Stuffed Fantail Courgette stuffed with vegetarian mince.
I've made a number of Jams known as Jellys in the USA, such as Plum Cinnamon Jam; Plum and Vanilla Jam; Plum and Licorice; and even Plum and Star Anise Jam.
Plum and Raspberry Ketchup.
Plum and Licorice Milkshake
And finally, Plum and Cinnamon Loaf. You can find the recipe here, but there are so many more plum recipes to come including a vegan Plum Curry. I am sharing this post with Harvest Monday is hosted by Dave over Our Happy Acres.

We came back from our holidays on Saturday and a load of plums were on the ground, bruised, battered that the only place for them was the bin. Such a shame really, still we have some still hanging on and this means we still have more plum recipes to share, but here are a handful that have made an appearance on my blog already, just in case you've missed it.
