Greta Thunberg Mural and Graffiti Street Art in Bedminster Bristol

We went to Bristol on Sunday for a mooch about.

We had also heard that there was a new tribute mural featuring the young Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg, so that was another good reason to go to Bristol as we do like checking out the graffiti street art too.
So we took a slow walk from the city centre to area of Bedminster to see it in person.
This is what else we saw along the way...

Skate Park area
I popped in very quickly to Bristol's first Zero Green Waste shop (above).  Its quite small, and was very busy, so I was unable to take pictures to share with you, perhaps next time. I did make one purchase though, of vital wheat gluten for making seitan.

I love this - Citizen of Nowhere
This was outside a Women's Centre - quite powerful I think!

To put the Greta Thunberg mural into context, here is a photograph with some cars!

  1. wow that street art is amazing - actually greta thunberg is amazing too! I love that bird peeking out between the buildings - there is so much fun as well as thoughtfulness in good street art. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thank you Johanna. I am writing two more blog posts about street graffiti from Bedminster that I somehow missed sharing a couple of years back, you will see the difference. I am glad you both spotted and liked the bird peeking out as that was D's favourite too.

    1. Thank you e. I am so pleased you are enjoying these, it makes me feel that they are worth sharing and appreciated by others. We are both well thank you, just in need of a proper holiday, rather than a day out here and there - D deserves a holiday much more than me.

    1. So lovely to hear from you gz. I came over your blog a little while back and had a good scan. There was not much street art in Glasgow when I lived there (not many veg places to eat at either) but both these areas have mushroomed, and I long to visit again, fingers crossed work will take me there!

  5. Impressive street art there! We also have a massive graffiti text "LISTEN TO GRETA THUNBERG" on a wall of a big warehouse.
